I ended up playing a bit tonight. Got stuff finished up at the house faster than I anticipated. I ended up doing ok. I played $11 4s to start did some $10 4s... Played about 5 $22 4s. Then late tonight I donked around in some 9 man sngs and broke even in them. All told solid day but was hard fought to win anything. Happy with my results. Just a mentally stressful day.
My full tilt poker goal is off. Ran super bad at anything I played there. So I will hopefully just win a couple extra hundred on Stars to make up for it. I do plan to play at full tilt in the future.
I have a few things to finish at Luke's house early tomorrow then I fly out of Colorado Springs at 3:15. Off to Dallas Ft. Worth for an hour then heading back to Grand Rapids. With the time change I will get back to Grand Rapids at 11pm.
I am excited to be going back to my own place. I have really enjoyed my time out here in Colorado but I miss home. I do expect I will return to Colorado Springs some day. But hopefully under different terms than this visit.

Well,
Was a long day. Especially poker wise.
I started playing on FT and just ran horrible in everything I did for a few hours. Quit way down... Then I started on stars and did ok to start out then ran super bad for a stretch at $22 4 mans and then came out just about even on the day.
My FT roll is super low I am gonna play $10 4 mans with it though. If something happens cool if it doesn't tough luck. I decided I was gonna finish the session I was in and then quit. Which is what I did and am glad that I managed to do that. I didn't play any higher stakes than I intended to also which is good. Losing day but it's not too bad. I am not gonna play tomorrow, Doubt I'll play Saturday, and most likely won't sunday. So should have a couple days break. And hopefully will come back refreshed and ready to tackle $1000 this month.
I should of been up $86 on stars today but in my last game. I had a big allin pot vs. the guy which I won. leaving him with 80 chips... and he fucking miracle come backs winning like 12 straight allins and then 20 minutes later wins the game. 44 < 67o... sigh...

Late night heroes game
So I am watching Heroes Season 1 at David's. I am trying to finish the Season before I go back to Michigan. It's like 4am and I've been grinding my way through yet another disc. I decide to check out pokerstars. There is a $22 4 man game filling with some super prime suspects. I register and win. Played just super good to be honest. I don't think I was taking a shot either I have enough money to play those games I am just choosing to play $11 4 mans... Bankroll nit amirite? So just thought I'd tally it onto my winnings before I get back to the next episode.

Hump Day, Dump Day
There was a lot of trash at Luke's that had to be cleaned out... Plus it's wednesday...
Semi-standard day. Nothing to huge to write about. I played a bit on Full Tilt today with crappy results. I just started off losing my ass. Bad game selection, Bad play, Bad beats... I finished 3rd in a $11 90man to end the night with a suckout put took $100 for that.
Also played on pokerstars for a while at the $11 4 mans with pretty good results.

Update
Will be a lot of posts titled update this month.
I am not going to be playing today either. I have a lot of work to get done out here before I leave Colorado Springs. So I am gonna focus on getting all that done. I will probably play some tomorrow.
My goal remains the same. $1000 net profit on Pokerstars by the end of September. I am not altering it because I started off losing. Just gonna have to turn things around.
An addendum to my goals is to get my Full Tilt account to $500 by the end of September. I have gotten lucky to create a small bankroll there of $150. So I am setting a real small should be attainable goal to reach $500 on that account. I am not counting this towards my $1k goal.
No new results.

Playing tired
An unfathomable loss to kick things off. I was playing tired and suffered the consequences. A bad streak at 11 4 mans and some losses at 50nl hu and 25nl 6 max. All told really disappointing. I took advantage of the 24 hour self-exclusion. So I will be back playing again tomorrow night.

Let's set some goals
I haven't blogged much lately. I have been too ghey. I have all these big goals in life and I really need to start focusing on them if I ever hope to accomplish them.
We'll start with poker...
Goal: Make $1,000 by September 30. This is a clearly defined, attainable goal. I am starting with a bankroll of $564.25. So in order to reach my goal I will have to get to $1564.25. I will not cash out any until I reach that goal... Then I will cash out $500 once the goal is met. I will be playing $11 4 man turbo Heads up games. Along with the $22 HU mtt a few times a week.
Live play will not be taken into account during this goal. I don't anticipate playing much live but when I do it will be separate. This goal is about a lot more than winning while playing poker. It is about self control, long term decision making, and time managment.
I start my classes for my freshman year of college on the 2nd. I also hope to start a full time 2nd shift job when I get back to Michigan from Colorado. Full time job + Full time student = 9am-11pm (M-F). That leaves 10 hours a day for non work related stuff like sleep. My goal is to sleep 8 hours a day to maximize my productivity during my awake hours. This being said. It may not leave much time for poker. However if I fail at this goal because I am too busy doing well in school and making money at work I will be happy still.
My priorities in these 3 categories are School, Work, Poker. Now with that it sounds like I am not real interested in poker. I am. However, I feel it is important to make my classes my #1 focus. So that I can end this year with a 4.0 GPA from community college. Thus making it easy to transfer next year. It'll be a tough grind between school and a full time job. But I think I am capable of doing it. Just gonna have to really practice time management and get really good about sleeping regular.
If I make $200 this month from poker and $1500 from a full time job I will consider that a successful month. Savings is gonna be a big focus. I am not willing to rely on poker at this time though. So saving money for later investments is gonna be a big focus.
Weight loss goals.. I have posted these so often before and never really followed through on them. But I think they have all been to vague. So GOAL:
Goal: Lose 15 pounds in concordance with poker goal time frame.
Starting weight: (weighed at night when I am heaviest fully clothed in Jeans and T-shirt)
= 252lbs...
Really I think the most likely way for me to accomplish either of my goals is to get a quick jump on them this week while I am in Colorado Springs. If I could grind out 20-30 buyins at the $11 level over the next 8 days then I would be well on my way towards accomplishing the goal. Same with the weight loss. I am gonna try and run every morning while I am out here. The High altitude of CS makes it a pain to do anything. There is half as much oxygen in the air here then in Michigan. So that's gay. lol. But it causes your body to be in better shape if you are here long term.
Other Goals that are more long term:
4.0 at GRCC this semester. I am gonna try things I've never done before like read the section ahead of class. Go to every class. Turn all my homework in on time. Also, 9am-3pm every day is school time. So if I have a class from 9-11 and a class from 1-3. The 2 hours between class will be devoted to studying. Also, I'm gonna try to never do any homework the day of. This will take a lot of planning and such. But I know school is straightforward the professors aren't trying to trick me. They will tell me what it is they expect and it's up to me to do that. So these are a few tricks to hopefully help me do better.
Also my schedule is: Tues/Thursday 12-2 (Accounting)
MWF 12-2 (Precalculus)
Fri 9-11:30 (History)
MW 9-11 (English).
I expect English and History to be a breeze. I expect accounting to take a lot of work and I expect precalculus to be extrememly difficult. So I will spend the most time on Precalc, the next most on Accounting. Then however much it takes for a 4.0 on English and History.
That's all for now. I got about 4 hours of grinding low limit sngs. Then I am gonna go run 1/2 mile or something. Then I have to work at my brothers house for most of the day.
Notes to self: Call Teasha @ Plastech tuesday at 11am.
Call Dad Monday Morning
Meet @ Lowes w/ David Monday Evening.
Cliff notes: Goal is to make $1000 by Sept 30 at 11:59 pm. Also to lose 15 lbs by Sept. 30 @ 11:59 pm. Also watch Heroes season 1 while in Colorado Springs this week.
